We have a child with some mobility problems, and so when the villa was built, I insisted on it being accessable to wheelchair users. To that end, it was designed with all the accommodation on one level, and had the external paths and access to the villa gently ramped The front door is wider than normal and only has a small (20mm) lip so access is easy. Inside the villa, all the doors are wide enough to allow wheelchair access and the double French doors out to the patio are of a design with no tracks. There is a wet room with a low shower and a sink with no vanity unit or pedestal. The arched access to the kitchen is also wheelchair accessable, although the kitchen itself is not specifically designed for less able users. This makes 'Villa Fortuna' an ideal location for families with a less able child or older person with mobility problems
